Why This Resource Exists
Michigan records are split among agencies. The Cass County Sheriff creates jail booking records, while MI-VINE provides the county-linked custody search. Cass County Courts hold the later case history, and Michigan Department of Corrections OTIS covers people under state corrections authority. A sheriff FOIA request can reach a booking sheet or photo that is not displayed online. We collect those official paths and explain their limits without reproducing anyone’s booking image.
What Readers Can Find
The content follows the actual Cass County source structure:
- The county arrest hub covers custody, booking photos, records, warrants, and correction routes.
- City pages explain Dowagiac, Cassopolis, and Edwardsburg police-record paths.
- Dedicated pages distinguish same-day checks, multi-day logs, and MI-VINE alerts.
- Request instructions identify the sheriff form, contact points, response period, and possible fees.
Limits of Our Role
We are privately operated and have no connection to a Michigan government agency, sheriff, jail, court, or corrections department.
- We cannot release, hold, or transfer a person in custody.
- We cannot post bond, arrange visits, or send funds.
- We cannot provide legal advice.
- We cannot guarantee that every agency detail remains current.
Only the responsible sheriff, court, or corrections agency can confirm custody, charges, or release. We can point to its official channel.
Independent Search Partners
Some search boxes are operated by outside providers that set their own prices and result policies. If a referral leads to a paid signup, this site may receive a fee that supports free access to the editorial material. We do not control a partner’s pricing, coverage, or results.
